Yup, that would describe the past few weeks around here - it's been busy! We've here there and everywhere with the kids - and the kids have been enjoying it.
So just a "few" pictures of the happenings around our house as of late...
We enjoyed a bonfire at my parents house
Marshmallow roasting and everything
And what could be better then jumping on the trampoline at night!
Glow sticks!
Grandma and Anna
Some local "bug" life around here
Some summer "easy"reading for Alvar and I - quite the funny book for any expecting parents...library has it (well, not at the moment, we are still finishing it up!)
Last year we enjoyed "park days" with some friends, they've started again this year. These pictures are at the Dundas Driving Park - the wading pool is all re-done and they also now have some water features the kids thoroughly enjoyed last week! I think Caleb spent most of his time here pushing the buttons on this "beach ball" - it controlled the water sprinklers - and that beat going in the water for him ;)
Anna loving the sprinklers
Caleb "watching" the sprinklers ;)
We managed to snag some tickets from Freecycle for our family to enjoy the Circus the other night! The kids were quite impressed with the whole show - lots to keep them entertained! This was also Alvar's first time at the circus - he was pretty impressed too!
Unfortunately most of the pictures turned out blurry....so bare with me here ;) This one of the dragon was two guys dressed up and was "acrobatting" around
More acrobats
Poodles parading around
Another acrobat - hanging on a rope (spinning etc)
Some fire-juggling jugglers
Most of the other pictures didn't turn out, just too dark and way too much movement - but there were clowns, elephants, skip-rope jumpers, guys jumping thru hoops, stick climbers, bungee jumpers etc - and lots more. It was neat to see!

Esther's been enjoying baseball quite a bit - they (finally) won a game the other night, and boy were the girls excited!! (it had been a while). Esther is also enjoying the reading program at our local library - it's a great incentive for kids to read (there are prizes for reading) - today we used the prize that all the kids got for signing up and reporting their first books - ice cream!! We also enjoyed a drop in program at the library that brought in 7 or 8 greyhound dogs in for the kids to meet and ask questions about. When you look around, there are certainly plenty of "free" things for the kids to do around the city!

We (well, mostly Alvar of course!) are also in the midst of doing some major renovations around the house too. The main floor (minus the kitchen and bathroom) is receiving a huge make-over at the moment - new paint job, flooring, baseboards etc. LOTS of work! Alvar is just about finished the floor now and it'll be onto more "cosmetic" work - can't wait for it to be done!! He's doing a fantastic job - and it'll look like a whole new house by the time he's done!

On the "pipsqueak" watch - things are going well. I've got about 3 and a half weeks to go - and really really really looking forward to meeting this little one! There are so many people having babies in our Church at the moment - 26 for the 2009 year to be exact (and that's not even counting family/friends outside of our Church) that it makes the longing that much more! Thankfully you can't stay pregnant forever ;) ;)
