We took advantage of Open Doors Hamilton and visited the Auchmar House today. Despite the fact that the house is in desperate need of upkeep - it was still very interesting to walk thru and see all the detail that was put into ceilings, walls and doors. They hope to some day have the house fully restored, I would love to be around to see the finished product! Below are a bunch of pictures from the tour.

We went to the Haida and the Museum of Steam and Technology (which had mini-train rides outside). Every year I plan to go to the Auchmar House, and still haven't made it there--I guess I'm waiting until they're done the restoration! :)
