Goats

We visited with an old friend of Alvar's who happens to live on a goat farm today.  The kids were super excited to see all the goats (and hopefully hold one or two!).

 As we came into the first barn it was interesting to note that the goats are really not all that scared.  They all seem to stare at you all at once!

 And even make some funny faces

 And crazy ones too!

 Here is the milking station.  We were told that it takes about a week to train the goats to come in and put themselves in the locking mechanisms so the milk machines can do their job!

 Next we were off to the baby goat barn.  Favourite place for the kids!

 Smiles, smiles, smiles from all our kids :)

 These little guys were so curious when we came in - propping themselves up on the gates, making sure they didn't miss any of the excitement!

 Have to see everything!

 What's a barn without a few cobwebs?

 So cute!  Lunch time for these little guys.  There were two feeding buckets, but apparently they all drink from one bucket at a time (wish I had got a video!)

And what's a barn without hay?  Sara started throwing it at the goats - so I gave her a taste of her own medicine.  She didn't seem to mind!

Lastly, a little clip of Sara.  We love how she says the word "a lot" with so much expression!
