Girls Night Out - Part 1

Danielle, Carina and I have been planning a little get away for a number of months now - and despite the fact that Danielle had strep throat, she was a trooper for us and we managed to get to our destination of Niagara Falls
After we checked in we headed down to the manager's reception for some drinks and food
Our time together wouldn't be complete without enjoying some crazy things...we started off on the right foot by enjoying the kiddie rides down by the pool :)
Carina is now officially ready for the Indy 500
"Oh, reeeaalllyyy." replied Carina to the lady at the Keg when we realized the earliest reservation for dinner would be 9:30pm!! Good thing we ate lots at the reception earlier so we weren't too starving!
To kill some time before dinner we decided to hop on the shuttle bus and take a drive around Niagara Falls
After our tour, we came back to our hotel room - it wasn't quite dinner time yet, so we rearranged the room for something to do ;)
We honestly wanted a better view of the falls while playing some games - so we moved the table and chairs from one room to another
Our 1st Settler's game...Carina kicked our butts...but I had a HUGE road spreading across the board (I was the green team)
Ahhhh....supper at last.  We got a $40 voucher with our hotel package - $40 to cover 3 of us at the Keg.  Hmmm....this was going to be tricky.  We really didn't want to go over too much, so finally we managed to find a decent priced meal on the menu (prime rib burgers!)
And, much to our dutch heritage delight, we were owed money in the end...well, they didn't exactly pay us, but we did stay under the $40 we were allotted, and that was good enough to keep up happy!
The candy.  Yes, you should always end your meals with a candy - or two..right?  Well, one wasn't enough for me, so I scammed another one at the entrance desk as we walked out.  Didn't a random couple see me do this and accused me of stealing a second candy!!  I was a bit surprised and not sure what to say (even though he was totally joking and everyone was laughing), so I turned a few shades of red instead ;)
**Day 2 of our outing will be posted tomorrow....stay tuned....**
