We headed up to Fergus today to visit with Alvar's parents. With all the rain that had already come down in the morning, we decided to go to the Wellington County Museum for the afternoon. The building was used to help the destitute, single mothers and those unable to work - providing a place to eat, sleep and work (it was an almost 100% self providing estate - fields of vegetables etc was enough to provide for the residents, creating work for those who were able). Quite an interesting museum if you are in the area of Fergus!
Quite a large, impressive estate.
Beautifully built
Beautiful gardens around the area too...just a few flower pictures yet!
I love the detail in the flowers....
and will probably never get tired of taking flower pictures!
