We enjoyed a lovely day at the zoo last week. A few of us got together (5 adults, 5 kids) to visit the animals at the
Brantford Twin Valley Zoo. We had a lot of fun walking around viewing the lions, tigers and bears (oh my!!). We enjoyed the live animal show as well - most of it - I wasn't too keen on the tarantula nor the python either - good thing there was a baby tiger, a red fox and a young wolf shown as well that made up for it!! The kids also loved the petting zoo - the goats were willing to eat just about anything (including my pants) - the kids really enjoy the hands on experience. Here are just a few pictures below of our visit.
The Petting Area
A few of the animals...not sure what the first ones were called again...the 2nd one, the lemur, is meditating and the tiger looks less than thrilled to be there...
The "Live Animal Show" - in my most humble opinion could do without the spider and snake...but that's just me ;)
Dragonfly - not a zoo animal, but very pretty!!
Lovely peacock (who showed off his feathers when we were really far away!!) and the bear...
Oh, and look!! A few escapeees we found in the trees!! Clearly Anna is not impressed (which is fine with me...less chance of broken limbs!!)
