We ended Family Day at Montana's together - Alvar received some giftcards from work at Christmas that came in handy for all of us to enjoy! The kids enjoyed the "rustic" atmosphere ("Is that a DEAD deer on the wall??") - deer, moose, buffalo and fish were hanging nicely on the walls of the restaurant, entertaining the kids to no end (nothing like wild game to get you good and hungry for meat!!).
It's always a treat to go to a "sit down" restaurant with the whole family (sometimes a bit stressful...but for the most part today, quite enjoyable!). The kids behaved themselves, used their manners and didn't make too much noise for the other patrons of the restaurant. The hi-light being mini ice cream cones for dessert - I think this might have even beat the thrill of going to McDonald's!
