After going to Church Sunday morning in Kingston, we returned to camp for a relaxing day.
This is half our campsite ;) Alvar was in a tent with Caleb and Sara and I was in the trailer with Esther and Anna. We later added the dining tent to store bikes and chairs etc....
Sara having a little fun with Alvar at lunch time
She thought the end result was hilarious!
Sara had a great time over all - she didn't run away off the campsites (like I had imagined) and was generally very cheerful the whole time (I'll take her camping anytime!)
Couple of algae covered turtles enjoying the sun
Alvar's Dad taking a kayak ride
Beautiful butterfly on the beach - it just sat there begging for us to take it's picture! It stuck around for a few minutes - enough for me to get a decent shot!
The girls searching for shells in the water
Check out hair-do on this duck! Looks like he put his foot in an electrical outlet to get that tuff on the top of his head!
Must be the brother duck from the previous picture ;)
Taking a little break with Oma
We took a walk around the gardens and duck pond...had to get a group shot of the girls
Poor Anna! She spiked a fever Sunday afternoon and was off and on sick for the next couple days. After the fever was over she got a rash on her face - we figure it was "slap-cheek" (or 5th's disease) - thankfully nobody else seemed to catch it from her!
Sara might become a tree-cutter as a result of her stint in the tree (my nephew was right behind her the whole time...we just got a good shot of her looking to be on her own up there!)
Nice quiet lake that evening - we had a great first day...very relaxing - a good start to our trip!
