On Tuesday we woke up to a somewhat dismal looking day. Dismal or not, the kids woke up ready to go and the possibility of rain wasn't about to stop them in their plans for the day!

Due to the weather, we decided to head into town to see some of the local sights. Our first stop was the old penitentiary which was basically a staircase away from the new one! Here is Esther in a box (coffin) used for torture. If you misbehaved, you could spend some significant time in the box - the kids each took a turn in there looking fairly glum!
Things were pretty "old school" in the old penitentiary - another form of torture was the "head-in-the-box-with-water-pouring-down-on-you" chair. Luckily Caleb wasn't tall enough to actually receive the torture!

Our next stop was the ferry boat that would take us to Wolfe Island. We parked our cars in line and waited for the ferry to arrive. Alvar showed Sara the cars/trucks coming off the ferry - she was not impressed with the noise (quite similar to Caleb last year when the vehicles left the ChiCheemaun up in Tobermory) and had her fingers in her ears for the majority of the time!

We headed back to camp after the ferry ride and did some fishing. The sunfish were biting nicely during the week...we all got the chance to catch at least a couple fish each!
