On my list of "things to do this summer" was to go to a beach and get the kids to paint a landscape of some sort. Well, we didn't quite make it to the beach - our backyard was going to have to do for today. It was interesting to watch them plan and think out what they would paint (especially after explaining to Caleb he wasn't going to actually paint the flowers...just the canvas!). I hope to do this again sometime - maybe we'll venture out of Hamilton next time!
